Looking down at the note in your hands, you gulped, reading the invitation over and over again.

Ludwig had invited you over to his house.

Ludwig.

This wasn't something to be afraid of, you told yourself. I mean, you and Ludwig used to hang out together all the time! However, due to financial difficulties in your country, you had ended up not seeing each other for the past three years. You had thought he had almost forgotten about you - that is, until you received this letter.

It was a bit vague and unstructured, however the overall message was clear. That there was an emergency, and you had to get there, ASAP.

Nervously, you fiddled with the zip on your jacket. C'mon girl, pull yourself together! It's just Ludwig, for crying out loud.

Ludwig, the man you grew up with.

Ludwig, the man who had helped you countless of times.

Ludwig, the man you had fallen for, time and time again.

Slapping your red cheeks, you managed to pull yourself out of your thoughts. It's no time to be thinking about that, you sighed. It's unlikely he even thinks of me in that way…

Before you could even consider opening the door however, it swung open, forcing you to take a step back in shock.

Looking up, you stared right into the shocked icy blue eyes of a certain German. The man was running out of breathe, hair falling over his eyes. He attempted to slick it back into its normal style with his gloved hand, however it just simply flopped back down. His cheeks were red as he stared back at you.

"Hey." You stated, shifting your feet back and forth.

"...H-Hey." He said, still getting his breath back. It looked to you as if he hadn't slept for a few days. Both of you stood in awkward silence for a few moments before you remembered the note in your hands.

"I got your letter." You said, shoving it into his direct line of sight. He blinked for a couple of seconds before processing the information.

"I see." He mumbled, sighing. "Come in. I need your advice."

That was new. Something must be wrong if he actually wanted some help.

He turned around and started walking back in, expecting you to follow. That you did, and you had to stop yourself from staring at his broad shoulders. Damn, he looked good. Especially when he was so out of breath and-

Blushing madly, you forced yourself to look away at the rooms on either side of the hallway.

It was just as you remembered it, except for one thing. When you had last seen it, everything was stored neatly, and no speck of dust could be seen. Now, many of the rooms had been neglected, and you could tell it had been a while since they had seen the light of day. You frowned, turning back to look at Ludwig.

Taking note of his dishevelled appearance, you tried turning things over in your mind. What could have possibly caused him to become like this? Did Russia threaten him or something?

You were so lost in thought that you hadn't noticed he had stopped walking, and you ended up walking straight into his back.

You jumped back in alarm. "S-sorry!" You mumbled, not meeting his gaze.

"I-It's okay. Come this way."

Cheks pink, he motioned to a room where light was seeping under the door. He walked foreword, and you followed. The silence around you was only making you worry more.

"Where are Feli and Kiku?"

"They're staying at Yao's place. They'll be back this weekend, though."

"Oh. Okay." You muttered, suppressing further questions.

All of a sudden a bright light enveloped you, and you realised you must have entered the lit room. A couch sat in the centre, and there was a fireplace at the far wall. Scattered haphazardly around the other walls were various ornaments and paintings. Although a little dusty, the light from the fire and the candles gave off a warm  glow, and all of a sudden you felt a little sleepy. You smiled a little at this room - it had always been your favourite.

"__-_________?" You heard Ludwig ask carefully. You jolted a little, and turned back towards him sheepishly.

"Sorry, just old memories I guess." You giggled, smiling nervously.

Before you could say anything else, you felt a warm hand enclose yours. Shocked, you looked into Ludwig's eyes, which were filled with confusion.

"___________, I don't know what's happening to me." His cheeks were a deep red and he was frowning, eyes not leaving yours.

"What's wrong, are you sick?" You asked, squeezing his hand gently. This action, you noticed, caused him to blush even harder.

"I...I don't think so. It's really quite strange." He said, eyebrows furrowing even more. "Whenever I think of you, hear about you, see you in photos, my throat becomes tight, and my heart beats faster than normal." He muttered quickly. Your eyes widened. Don't tell me he…

"My heart also feels achy, and I long to see and hug you so badly that it gives me a headache." He sighed, grip now tight on your hand.

You giggled, then all of a sudden started to full out laugh. The look on his face at your strange reaction was priceless. Laughter still shaking your frame, you wrapped your free arm around his waist. He tensed immediately, but you just tightened your grip.

"Ludwig," You whispered, softly. "Did you know that the same thing has been happening to me for the past few years?"

"What?! You have this too?" He yelled, letting go of your hand and gripping your shoulders. You chuckled, and took this as an opportunity to wrap your arms gently around his neck. This caused him to gasp slightly, but he didn't seem to mind the notion.

Smiling, you brought your face closer to his. Your breath tickled the hair in front of his eyes, making you giggle again.

"It's called love, Ludwig."

And with that you pushed your lips against his roughly, gripping the back of his neck. He froze and didn't kiss back, and you almost pulled away, if not for the fact he had suddenly pushed his lips eagerly into yours, pressing your bodies together. The kiss was heated and desperate for both you and Ludwig, each gripping onto each other hungrily.  Unfortunately, you still needed air to live, so reluctantly you both pulled away. He was even more out of breath than he had been at the door, and a huge smile was on his lips. Apparently he had realised his strange predicament.

"_________," He whispered, resting his head gently on your shoulder. "Ich Liebe Dich."

You felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off you shoulders, and you leaned happily into the warmth of his embrace.

"I love you too, Ludwig."

A camera flashed, and some running footsteps were heard. A ghostly "Kesesese~" followed.
Hai again guyz and gals!~

Hehehe,

A very cute story about a smexy German and the unsuspecting reader. I like how everything you wrote gave nothing away and you built up the suspense! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/e/e…" width="15" height="15" alt=":O" title=":O (Eek)"/>
I'd like to read something by you that is not necessarily romantic, e.g. a humerous one or crime? Although, I do really like these stories!
Also some deeper description could help engage the reader even further but i'm not really the one to talk because I can't write a story to save my life!
I definately love Hetalia people, they are great and I like the whole country thing. They are very hot to imagine! Keep up the awesome writings Steshka!
